This space is far too small and it would take images to show you, but I can pass on directions of one I made back in high school if you want. Let me know if you want some extended help with this, more than you can get in this little space.

When is it due?

Civil War?

Question by Sara Beth: Civil War?
I am moving to Carthage, Missouri on November 3rd and I am looking for Civil War reenactment groups in that area. I am really big into reenacting, so if anyone knows of any groups, I would greatly appreciate it if you told me. I am also looking for a place to volunteer, where you dress in time period clothing. Like a museum or something. Thanks.

art vintage oil paintings thomas moran?

Question by deedee: art vintage oil paintings thomas moran?
We have had this painting for a very long time. Its an old oil paint .My dad has had it for 30 years . .he got it from his boss when his boss retired 30 yrs ago .My dads boss had got it from a art gallery or muesum. We cant remember which.Anyway it looks really old .Its dated 18and the rest is covered. On the right hand side it has a sighnature that is paint and its Tmoran .Thomas moran. Now we know that they didnt use staples in frames or on canvas back than.So if anyone knows where this could have came from or has something like it can they please let me know.I dont know if it was stapled due to them having to restretch it or if there were years when they made replicas that looked as real as this.Or maybey how old this is.I have pictures but I dont know how to send a link for one or if yahoo lets people do that.Any information would be great

Send a photo of the painting to the appropriate Embassy and they will forward it to the country of origin. You should receive a response from the museum of the country that the knows who the painter is and how much is is worth in their currency.

I have done this with a painting of King Oscar of Sweden and Norway and sent the photo to the Palace. They sent the photo to experts and told me who painted it, although it was signed. I could not read the signature, but the museum knew who painted it and when.

This message board will not help you. You must investigate by contacting museums and the country of origin to find out what the artwork you have. You can also send good photos to both Christie’s auction house as well as Sotheblys. They can help you further.

We’re planning a road trip towards the southern states then, but we want to stop at the monument in south dakota as well as the tour of the black hills and the town from the 1800′s. Are tourist destinations still open in November?

Highs in the low 40s, lows in the low 20s. Sometimes it snows, ices and rains. Not very much precipitation in November.
